Lines and wrinkles are a completely natural part of ageing, caused in part by reduced collagen production and loss of elastin in the skin. While some choose to embrace their wrinkles, others look for ways to reduce the appearance of ageing and achieve that fresher, better looking version of themselves.
If Botulinum Toxin (better known as BOTOX®) is off the table, there is fantastic news for those that want to mimic its effect by smoothing and plumping in a far more natural, safe, non-toxic way! Face Factor is delighted to announce the introduction of the No-Toxin, Anti-Wrinkle Facial.
Using a serum which is packed with a combination of peptides, this serum is channelled into the skin using microneedling and acts dually on expression lines, reducing the existing ones and preventing the appearance of new ones. Unlike traditional Toxin, this new No-Toxin treatment can be used to attack fine lines and wrinkles all over the face – rather than just the upper section of the face.
The 3 main powerful ingredients include:
Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 which regulates and reduces the contraction of dynamic wrinkles.
Niacinamide which stimulates collagen synthesis, enhancing redensification
Pentapeptide-18 which inhibits skin micro-contractions and prevents the formation of lines and wrinkles
THE TREATMENT
The treatment is very straightforward.
The skin is properly cleansed and prepped. Once this has taken place, we will start to work the microneedling device over the skin, doing one pass around the face. Once complete, the serum is put onto the skin after which the practitioner will then do a second pass over the skin and more serum will be added.
The client will experience some erythema and perhaps a very small amount of blood spotting, but this will be minimal as protocols are in place to ensure there is very little trauma to the skin.
An initial 5 treatments are recommended at 2 week intervals and then maintenance treatments once every 3 months.
Step 1. The consultation. During your consultation, we will assess the areas you wish to have treated and any general concerns you have. At this time, we will discuss the number of treatments needed and the intervals between each session. We work within the strict guidelines set out by the Health Inspectorate of Wales. As such, you will be asked to fill in a form which will cover a number of questions about any medical conditions you may have, medications you are taking, whether you have an active tan etc. This is to assess your suitability for the treatment. Step 2. The treatment. The treatment time varies depending on the procedure. However, the average time of any treatment is around 45 minutes. This includes the time taken to make a full assessment of your skin and, where necessary, highlight any problematic areas.
Step 3. Aftercare. At the end of the treatment, we will explain how to look after the area and you will take home aftercare instructions. You will also be given a small sample of aftercare products to use as instructed, as this will be necessary to ensure your treatment area heals as quickly as possible.

Following your treatment, we will recommend product/s based on your specific requirements.
COMPLEMENTARY TREATMENTS
To complement this treatment, we recommend our brand new Collagen Lift, radio frequency, treatment that addresses skin laxity by delivering radio frequency energy deep into the skin causing contraction of the collagen fibres, stimulating collagen production and increasing blood flow; all of which will result in tighter, firmer looking skin. Treatments are painless and there is no downtime. You will see an immediate difference after the first treatment, however we recommend a course of 6, performed twice per week followed by a maintenance session every 4 to 6 weeks.
